TCG Card Shop Simulator

TCG Card Shop Simulator

DE EN

"A satisfying card shop fantasy, fumbled at full release."

About

TCG Card Shop Simulator is a first-person management game where you run your own local game store. Your daily tasks involve ordering new stock, deciding whether to sell booster packs sealed or to open them and sell the individual cards. You set your own prices, hire staff to manage the counter, host events to attract customers, and gradually expand your storefront from a small corner shop into a larger enterprise.

Verdict

This should be a simple, satisfying fantasy: open a shop, crack packs, make money. The core loop works, delivering the addictive thrill of finding a rare card and the quiet joy of organizing a shelf. But this 1.0 release is a mess. It runs worse than it did in Early Access, visuals have been downgraded, and promised features like a competent card game are nowhere to be found. A dedicated modding scene papers over some cracks, but cannot fix the shoddy foundation.

  • You were hoping for a deep, playable trading card game within the simulation.
  • Repetitive gameplay loops bore you quickly, even if they are initially satisfying.

  • Gameplay becomes repetitive once the initial expansion phase is over.

  • +Card art and original designs are appealing and capture the spirit of TCGs.
  • The 1.0 update introduced significant visual downgrades, including blurriness and desaturated colors.
  • Performance is poor, with severe frame rate drops reported even on high-end hardware after the final release.
  • Anti-aliasing seems to have been removed, resulting in a rough, unpolished look.

  • +The core gameplay is immediately understandable and easy to get absorbed in.
  • The 1.0 version is plagued by game-breaking bugs, freezes, and performance hitches.
  • The game suffers from excessive RAM usage, causing instability.
